Here are two quick reminders –

1)     The Ram Navami Challenge – Your Project is to explore the significance of Ram Navami & to be prepared to present it to the class on 04/01.

Here is the catch – You would have to do this exercise without relying on the Internet*, reach out to your friends, family members or books to gather all the relevant information.

Be prepared to speak in front of the camera on 04/01.

* Your reliance on the Internet stops right after you read this email/blog post, related to this subject.

2)     Geeta Speech competition –

Chinmaya Mission LA is hosting a Bhagavad Geeta Speech completion on 04/28,

Open to:                       6th to 12th graders of all CMLA Balavihars
Speech Duration:           Not to exceed 3 minutes.
Grading:                       Each contestant will be graded for a total of 100

Subject:                       A contestant can speak on any one of the following (without   
                                   referring to any book or notes during the speech):

(A) What prompted the Lord to show his Vishwaroopa to Arjuna and according to you, what was the purpose and was it accomplished? (Refer Shlokas  9-13 of Ch. 11)

(B) What is the meaning when Lord Krishna says “I have slain those people already. You act only as an instrument.”? (Refer Shlokas 33-34 of Ch. 11)

(C) How do you interpret Viswaroopa Darshana – the Universe in the Lord?

(Content: 40, Presentation: 30, Overall Effectiveness: 30)

NOTE: During the contest PARENTS/GUESTS ARE ALLOWED as audience.

First, second and third place winners in each group (6/7/8, 9/10/11/12 grades) will be awarded trophies.
