Republic Day: Patriotic Folk song

Hari Om Kids and Parents,

Just a quick reminder about this Sunday, we will be celebrating India's Republic Day in our Bala Vihar. We will meet at the regular time and performances will start at 11 AM

6th-8th graders will be performing a Patriotic folk song - Des Rangila

Sorry for a very short notice but considering the time constraint, Neetaji is planning for a short dance on Des Rangila. If parents are able to translate a little of it before the practice, this will be helpful. It is a beautiful, patriotic folk song that is appropriate for the day and will be fun for the kids to perform. Neetaji will be teaching it on the following days:

Two practice sessions:

Thursday Jan. 25 - 4:30- 6:30 PM
Saturday Jan. 28 - 4-7 PM

Venue:         6110 Armaga Springs Road, RPV, CA 90275
Dinner:        Pizza will be served after the Saturday Practice.
RSVP:           Please RSVP Neetaji at neetaloomba@gmail.com, (it will help her organize for Pizza and dance    coordination)

Boys, we need your participation too! Even if you don't know how to dance, or just dance hip-hop, it's ok, you can Participate!

We would definitely need all the Bharat Natyam Dancers ( Divya, Priya, Sacha, Deepika,) and anyone else who loves dancing.

Indian Attire: Everyone, regardless of whether you are dancing or not, remember to wear colorful Indian clothes, preferably, white, orange , or bright green. Boys, you could borrow your mom's chunnis of these colors as well if all you have are white kurtas as a suggestion. Girls in the dance should try and wear lenghas if possible.
